lyrics

(Peregrin Shams:
When I'm feelin weak
All I need to do is breathe in
Dream dream, oh dream
Dream)

A stream of consciousness coupled with sleep deprivation
A nicotine patch for my deep irritation
I weep with frustration, for sleep is a state in which
People's sedation can equal creations from God
Through givin all realities the nod
Livin, slowly sievein through the fallacies, the fodder
Of the battleships that hover up above our green fields
Smotherin the love that concieves the crops yieldin
Concealed in the cases of the weapons that we're wieldin
We need to peel away the fear that we're shieldin
And stop demonizin the drugs that we're dealin
Just experience whatever it is we're feelin
And stop bleedin for the sake of leadin
Others just as weak as ourselves into recedin
Primative areas of our minds, we need to find
Another design, transcendent of space and time
Replace, rewind, retrace the lines
To the single point, yes the faceless dimensionless
Crime ends with this, fightless, defenceless
Put an end to this pointless pretentiousness
And you will see that all that retention is
Is the inventing of scentlessness
All the while you relentlessly repent for this
Is there a sin, or just the stench of bliss?

(Peregrin Shams:)
When I'm feelin weak
All I need to do is breathe in
Dream dream, oh
Sleep
Dream

I go to sleep when the feat of keepin awake ceases
To feel right, feels more like pullin apart pieces
Of puzzles that only make me feel like a defeatist
I just want to weep and dissolve into the creases of the sheets
This is when I'm feelin at my weakest
I surrender to peace, this is the sweetest release
Until my alarm bleeps and I get up and repeat this
Strangest of states we call awake at last
This food on the table we call breakin the fast
Makin a livin, some call it breakin their breaks
Achin from givin my all to the urban sprawl
Though not all of us fall as we crawl up the wall
Some of us are truly awake and know our call
Pullin us fluidly away from the wreckin ball of insomnia
Into alpha/theta/delta waves in balance
Sleep'll teach us to preach the ways to silence
All of this meaningless white mental noise
And we know that lack of sleep eventually destroys
Our alertness and ability to free the voice
That speaks with clarity and sits quietly poised
Above all logic, watch it sing and dance
Erasin all the lines we learned to draw with our hands
In our dreams we find the power to override them
So fuck teachin little kids to colour inside them

(Peregrin Shams:
Dream, dream, I dream, dream, dream
I dream, dream
When I'm feelin weak
All I need to do is sleep, sleep sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep
Dream,
Weakness, I'm sleepless, I'm feelin tired)

Good mornin, I just slept for 8 hours
Maybe now I'll talk a little more sense or maybe I'll just
Talk about how I don't wanna cower
Before the forces of status and power
Racist and sour, elitist high-browers
Homphobic flow-controllin secret spies that scour the scene
For any dirt to make ya seem unclean
They will pull apart and rip the seams from your dreams
It seems that we've been under teams of these schemers
For so long that we are the gullible believers
Of protocol that gives them the authority to seize us
Feedin us these lies since before the days of Caesar
They make us think that we're free cause it's just easier
They fill your head full of hope but they're just teasin ya
Ya got to realize they're just squeezin ya
For every last drop of your freedom, yeah
Make you think you need money just to breathe in here
Makin you think you need this TV here
Put there so that all that you see and hear
Is all about mortgages, insurance and fear
Perfume, cigarettes, beer
The latest gadget is magic and if you don't have it you're
Queer, oh my god, oh my dear
Is that something I'm supposed to think will bring a tear to my
Eye? When I find I don't rely
On products with names beginning with a small I?
Think of all I had to bring to your life
Just to make you listen to me, I needed to disguise it
With music, but don't worry, it's true this
The passion is real, that's why I do this
That's why I transmit through what I can spit
And I'm tellin you you're strong and the power in your hand sits
But just listen to what your body tells you
Do the right thing when it pulls and compels you
Away from your underpaid overtime job
And to bed to get the sleep of which you've been robbed
After all, that little voice inside that says
"You don't wanna go to work, you so tired"
It is your instinct, and should be met with more respect
Than the manipulative dick givin out your paycheque
